About Shaina
Shaina loves working with modern adults and college students navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, and ADHD. Her warm presence, sharp wit, and collaborative style create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and gently challenged.

She helps clients break free from the cycle of perfecting, performing, and people-pleasing - patterns common in anxious, overextended women and men. Many have spent years prioritizing others, tying their worth to achievement, struggling to say “no,” and believing rest must be earned.

Shaina’s also especially passionate about supporting women with ADHD, particularly those diagnosed later in life, to make sense of their experiences and build strategies that work with—not against—their brains.

Drawing from mindfulness, IFS, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Shaina teaches practical tools to reduce anxiety, foster self-kindness, set boundaries, and live in alignment with values instead of fears. She also uses EMDR to help clients process childhood and relational trauma that still impacts their sense of safety, confidence, and grounding.

Shaina earned her B.A. in Psychology from UNC Wilmington and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver. With nearly a decade of experience in private practice, hospitals, non-profits, and research, she brings a grounded, well-rounded perspective to her work. A longtime Wilmington local, Shaina enjoys coastal life with her two rescue dogs, Wallace and Willow, who remind her daily to slow down and savor the simple joys.
