About Delaney
Delaney loves working with older children, teens, and adults of all ages navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, perfectionism, grief, and difficulty regulating their emotions. Many of her clients have struggled with getting stuck in the past or being overwhelmed by the future. She helps clients heal and grow around past hurts and brings future-focused clients back to the present.
She brings a warm, compassionate presence that builds trust and makes room for openness and growth. She has a collaborative counseling style and sees each client as a unique individual to be heard, supported, and gently challenged. She is passionate about integrating faith-based counseling, when desired by clients, to explore identity, meaning, and life’s difficult experiences through a faith-based lens.
Delaney is also passionate about supporting clients with ADHD through practical skills, a compassionate understanding of the weight of having a brain that works differently, and helping clients recognize the strengths in their experience with ADHD.
Delaney’s approach is relational, trauma-informed, and rooted in hope, integrating multiple therapeutic approaches to fit each client’s needs and goals. Delaney frequently uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), creative approaches, and humor. She supports clients in changing their thoughts, regulating their emotions, growing in confidence and assurance of their worth, and building a healthy, whole life.
Delaney is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. She earned her M.S. in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2026 and her B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2023. Her professional experience includes private practice and university settings. Outside of the counseling office, Delaney enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, reading, playing volleyball, and capturing special moments with her camera.
